The formation of the gang began from the 2nd year in college when 5 of the current gang members came together.
Slowly others joined in and by the end of second year a gang of 8 members named the octopus came into existence. The name
octopus, Oct represented the 8 members of the gang. In the bigining of the 3rd year one more new member joined
the gang. Since the gang had already started to become famous in the college , members did not prefer to change the existing
name much. Hence the a new name with little change was suggested. Thus octopus became Octoplus adding one new member to its
family.
As
the popularity of the gang increased many more people wanted to join the gang and thus they became the honorary members of
Octoplus.
